Jenifer Huston

Published October 30, 2008 by ladyserenity92

I think about Jenifer Huston and how she is coping with the deaths of her mother, brother and nephew. It is like a dream turning into a nightmare. One day, Jenifer has rise from poverty; the next, she has to say goodbye to the three people she loves. It is sad when you get want you always wanted, only to have something else taken away from you.

I remember a friend of mind who told me that when she was a baby, her father died. And when she was sixteen, her mother also passed. I met her in church. Her name was Teresa. I don’t know what has happened to her since I don’t go to church often. I hope she remembers me. I remember her words: We’re only here once, and all of our treasures we hold dear can one day be taken away in a heartbeat. We must always remember to count our blessings, thank God, pray; and don’t count on earthly items.

She’s right. I pray everyday. I thank God that I still have a family and count my blessings. I still think of Jenifer Huston. One day I’ll become rich. But for now, the only thing that I’m rich on our my blessings. Mybe you should count your blessings today.

Feeling Stuck

Published October 29, 2008 by ladyserenity92

Today, I was suppose to post something on my blog. But, I don’t know what to write right now. What I do know is that from now on, I’ll be posting my stories and poems on my blog. I’ve posted most of my work so far; I’m ready to do more. And this time, I won’t have to wait ’til 2009 to get cracking. The reason why I am slow is because of the holidays coming up.

I’ll be away from the computer for a little while. I haven’t forgotten about you, my wonderful fans. In no time, you’ll be seeing new works posted on the blog. Don’t threat, now. Have a nice day!

How I miss Halloween

Published October 28, 2008 by ladyserenity92

How I miss Halloween. The candy, the dressing up, and the parties. I miss them all. All I can do to celebrate is by watch TV and reading books that have Halloween themes. My cousin’s birthday is on Halloween and I’m not there to wish him a Happy Birthday. No Trick -or- Treaters ever come to my door. How I cry because I am growing up.

I remember the golden days of Halloween! Where all the children came in exodus to get candy. The parties and the cosplay contest. I long for those days again. Now, we all have to grow up for all of this. I long for Halloween once more. Happy Brithday, Cousin! And Happy Halloween! Happy Halloween to you all!

Writer’s tip and trick

Published October 25, 2008 by ladyserenity92

Write a lot, read a lot. Have a blog or notebook and write everyday. The same with reading. Read what you can in books or on blogs. Make time to read and write. Make the world your reading and writing place. When you come across a pen, a pencil or a piece of blank paper or notebook, it is a sign that you must keep writing. The same thing with a book; keep reading. Don`t give up. In order to be a better writer, you must discipline yourself to write a lot and read a lot. Write a lot everyday; read a lot everyday, and don`t stop.

The Terrorist(book review)

Published October 24, 2008 by ladyserenity92

In the post-terrorist attacks and the ongoing war in Iraq, The Terrorist by Caroline B Cooney is a great book for this century. The story begins with a sister’s eleven-year old brother on his way to school. The brother is handed a package by a stranger. In an instant, the boy is snuffed out by a blast of the bomb.

The novel deals with grief, sadness, and loss in the wake of terrorism. But the book also deals with love, trust, hatred and death. The novel is deeply dark and heartbreaking, but it is a good read. Although The Terrorist was published over 11 years ago (1997), the book still rings true in 2008. Make time to read this page-turner today!

An Idea that may never happen

Movie House

A movie house is a video store that has DVDs and tapes that you select and pay a small fee to view in a viewing booth located in the store. It also has a concession bar where you can buy snacks to eat while you watch your video at the confer of your booth. The movie house is also a place for parties.

Scientific Study

Published October 22, 2008 by ladyserenity92

If you’re having trouble learning a foreign language, why not listen to some music? Studies have found that people who listen to music in another language, with their fist language after the song of their original tongue is played side by side three times a day for three months, can learn thenew language faster. It also works when there is music on a book on CD when the person is listening. As a result, the listener learns more new words with the music.

The person can sing and dance to the music and the words being played. It can boost the person’s memory. Another reason why music is a must.

E-Comic books

Published October 20, 2008 by ladyserenity92

Have you ever seen the Tom Hanks movie Big? In the movie, Tom and he’s girlfriend share with the company a electronic toy that lets you interact with the comic book. 20-something years later, we have an e-book called Kindledthat let’s you read and download books electronically without having to carry loads of backbreaking books.

We have e-books, why not have an e-comic book? The e-comic book is just like an e-book; only it works for comic books, mangas and mangwas. They have a voice that reads the story and sounds to go with it. Unlike an e-book, an e-comic can be read left to right and right to left. Why has no one thought of an e-comic yet.

The e-comic is the size of a paperback book. Like a paperback, it opens to reveal a screen, page turning buttons, and has a volume switch. The e-comic book can hold up to 200 books downloaded. Maybe the Japanese can make one. They’re the ones that gave us Pokemon.
