Story as metaphor – talking to Ann Napolitano, author of Dear Edward — Nail Your Novel

As you might know, I’m fond of novels that are bold metaphorical concepts and haunting stories. A few months ago I came across an advance copy of Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano, the story of a 12-year-old boy who is the only survivor of a plane crash. He struggles to find a way to live, […]

How to write?

Published January 11, 2020 by ladyserenity92

I enjoy wit.

People are often asking the age old question….

How do I write?

There’s no easy answer to that question.

So many answers;

But ALWAYS more questions than answers.

How do people write?

Why does an author’s words become pictures of art?

Why words bring people together;

But drive them apart?

Why do people love books and reading;

But hate and destroy the books and people who love them?

What makes people think, feel and love books?

I have a lifetime of questions to answer.

Why do people write?

Go for broke.

A New Year; A NEW Era

Published January 6, 2020 by ladyserenity92

Ahhh, the Roaring Twenties.

If memory serves me correctly, I remember the crazy era; as golden chocolates served on a sliver platter.

The new era.

When the age of jazz music was in swing and women were giving the right to vote.

The swing age.

Now, a hundred years later; people are asking the question of uncertainty: WHAT will the new era be?

Expect the Unexpected.

The 20th anniversary of CardCaptors made it’s North American debut.

Go for broke!

Power in Silence

Wonderful prose!💖❤💖❤

Source of Inspiration

There is great power
in silence. It is within
this silence that
manifestation occurs.
It can not be forced,
cajoled, taught or
learned. It comes flowing
from Source through
those who are prepared.

Yet the world keeps us
so busy that most have
neither the time nor the
inclination to really
examine the process
of manifestation.

Still, we have the choice
to move forward with the commitment
to have Source work through us
or not.
