Life in Quarantine

Published May 5, 2020 by ladyserenity92

Being under quarintine; has taught me a lot of things. Such as;not taking the little things, for granted. I’m started to talk more in ‘code’; than in ‘normal’ mode.

I’m starting to get along with my mom and I’m getting to discover, ‘the new normal’.

I just finished, ‘Leaves of Grass’ by Walter Witman. He was way ahead of the times. Whitman had a lot of inspiration and wit.

I knew Whitman via recommendation.

“The New Normal” feels like something out of an old dystopian novel.

“1984” by George Orwell.

“The New Normal” feels more Grounded.

Quarintine made me think about the things; that I have to deal with.

Also: quarintine can teach you about history.

There are old Spanish tv shows; that I want to investigate.

They have great ideas.

Hi, guys!

Awhile back, I was on hiatus.

After a long spell; I notice what’s been happening, lately.

The Convid-19/Cornavirus/C-19

Virus; had taken over the world.

Even, in my neighborhood.

People are ordered to stay home.

No visitors; no non-ensessal travels.

We’re grounded.

The tragedy news of all:

Blillions of people have died; because of the C-19 virus.

There’s earthquakes; tornadoes and floods, everywhere.

I’m counting my blessings, that my family and I are safe.

So far,

Schools are out.

Mass unemployment is on the rise.

And, many stores have gone out of business.

Boy, it is rough.

The C-19 virus is no joke.

Please, stay home; stay safe.

Go for broke.

To be uptight and/or conservative.

A traditionalist. Old school.

I found out why some people that I meet on the street;(and those in my own family) act so coolly.

They think that the gifts from the spiritword are scary.

Uncanny and errie.

the spirits have a secret surpise….

They are visitors from the dreamworld.

They come in peace.

Not everyone’s ready to except the fact that they are spirits in the dreamworld.

Good and bad.

Angels and demons dance together.

Fight together.

They even photobomb in pictures.

People stepped into the world of dreams; as they stepped into a movie.

Dreams are commercial advertisements.

Some with family, friends; others with animals.

They’re has even been reports of ‘celeberty’ cameos in dreams.

But the biggest stars of the dream world; are the angels, themselves.

The ones hidden in the shadows. Only they’re voices speak to us in hush tones.

Do you ever have one of those, ‘days’?

Nothing seems to go right.

Things are going wrong.

The reason that things are going wompy; is that its been a bumpy road.

Not just for me

But, my friends;family and the rest of the world.

Things are bumpy.

Fasten your seatbelts; it’s gonna be a bumpy ride.

Good thing I’ve got on my helmet.

Story as metaphor – talking to Ann Napolitano, author of Dear Edward — Nail Your Novel

As you might know, I’m fond of novels that are bold metaphorical concepts and haunting stories. A few months ago I came across an advance copy of Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano, the story of a 12-year-old boy who is the only survivor of a plane crash. He struggles to find a way to live, […]

How to write?

Published January 11, 2020 by ladyserenity92

I enjoy wit.

People are often asking the age old question….

How do I write?

There’s no easy answer to that question.

So many answers;

But ALWAYS more questions than answers.

How do people write?

Why does an author’s words become pictures of art?

Why words bring people together;

But drive them apart?

Why do people love books and reading;

But hate and destroy the books and people who love them?

What makes people think, feel and love books?

I have a lifetime of questions to answer.

Why do people write?

Go for broke.
