Hot Riddles for a Cold Day!

I have felt the cold snap from my subjects. I’ve decided to gave you two riddles hot and fresh from the oven! Enjoy them while they’re hot!

Calculator Riddle

This is a funny riddle that I invented on my calculator back in the 1990s. Find a  calculator to get the riddle.

Q:

What can be scrambled six times(press 6), fried six times(press 6); and boiled three times(press 3)?

If you got the number ‘663′, turn your calculator upside down and you got the answer to the riddle.

A:

An egg.

‘Where are they’ Riddle

Q:

My cousin and her husband had just came back from their honeymoon. On their honeymoon, they visited a castle that was once restricted to outsiders except for the king and his family. On the next stop, My cousin went to a square where many youths sacrificed their lives on ‘The Streets of Red’. My cousin saw the portrait of a man who was responsable for robbing the childhood of  millions of children and countless others. When my cousin’s blood began to boil, her husband gave her a black-and-white teddy bear to calm her down. Since the bus was packed with people(as well as was the country with billions of people), My cousin and her husband decided to ride back to the hotel by bicycle. Pedaling off into the sunset, My cousin’s husband replied hauntingly, “My family and I left this country; it has never left me nor its people.”

Where were my cousin and her husband on their honeymoon?

  A:

They were on their honeymoon in China.

I hope you guys and gals have a safe Valentine’s Day, and a wonderful Chinese New Year!

Let’s do the tiger dance!

Life after the Super Bowl(The Sunday After)

Another Super Bowl Sunday has come and gone. The New Orleans Saints dominated over the Indianapolis Clots 17 to 31. I can just picture my dad’s face after seeing his Saints win. I often think about my daddy but I don’t miss him. The thought of not having a dad with me won’t stop me from making a life for myself. I’ve gotten used to not having the bastard around. Please, don’t pity me. The sweet side about not having my dad here is that I can stay single and unmarried without children. And I don’t have my daddy to tell me that I should get on the wife/mother bus.

Happy Me!

The T.V. ad’s were somewhat of a mixed bag. There were some that were good, some bad; and others ugly. No wonder why I don’t watch much telly. There is propaganda, sexism; stupidity. I wish that there would be something smart and colorful. With so much propaganda on the air, it’s like I’m sitting on the Libraian scale of who to believe, the left or the right.

You alone have to think for yourself! Get off the scale!

I’m reading different blogs besides my own. I’m studying to see what people love and hate on a blogist’s blog. I haven’t been posting much lately since it’s the early months of 2010. That’s normal for most people not to post frequally. As a blogger, you need time to think about what to put on your blog. I know it’s not easy, but just hang on and take your time.

Have a nice day!

Saturday Sucks!

Today is Saturday, February 6th, 2010.

And it is the pits!

My brother is an idiot. He doesn’t work and is a total narcissist.

Mom is a real poor-mouth and always ask me to do things for her when she can help herself.

My nephew is a spoiled brat who throws fits when he doesn’t get his way. When someone(like myself) tells him no, another person counter-defies their order and gives him his way.

I’m living in a nightmare.

My friends have often told me that I will make it.

Just two days ago, I saw a sunflower on the side of the trash dumpster.

I still have it to this day.

It comes to show that life doesn’t suck that much.

Hang on in there, baby!

I’m trying!

Stay tuned!

It’s Raining Today

It’s raining today.

I woke up to the beats of raindrops on my window.

I remember the good times when my bedroom was a place of family get-togethers.

My mom and nephew would crawl into bed with me just to watch my telly.

When it rains, I would always reflect on the memories good and bad.

The rain has come back once more to enjoy the moment and the life while you can.

Make time to pray that you honor God’s love.

Thank him for giving you a second chance at life.

How I love the rain.

Goodbye, January! Hello, February!

Today’s January 31, 2010. In less than 2400 hrs, it will be the first day of February. The last week of January was one that made me happy, made me cry; it was a week that just burned my hash browns. Here’s a small list of the last week of January that will always stay with me forever.

  • The death of author JD Salinger. —- As an anime fan, I always stay up late to watch the anime lineup on Adult Swim when I get a chance. It was on the cyberpunk anime Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex that got me hooked on the novel The Catcher in the Rye and its author JD Salinger. I wanted to know what the novel and Mr. Salinger had on the anime. I went to the library and checked out the novel. I was soon sucked into the world of New Yorker teenager, Holden Caulfield. After I read the last page, I knew that Holden was just like me and everybody young and old. It was one of a few books of JD Salinger’s that moved me. I was in the middle of reading another of Salinger’s works Nine Stories when the newsbrodcasted was made that Mr. Salinger expired. Although Mr. Salinger didn’t like fans nor fame(and he hated being mentioned by anyone), deep down, he knew that the young people and the world liked his stories. It was one of the many reasons that he hid himself from the and stopped writing. Whatever is in Mr. Salinger’s safe, it doesn’t matter. JD Salinger was one of a few authors that broke the line of childhood taboos. If anyone talked about how good a genius he was in life, Mr. Salinger would had said: ‘Goddamn it, I know that you people love my books! Thank you, now leave me alone so I can be in peace in Heaven!‘

And now, JD finally has found that peace he always wanted

JD Salinger(1919–2010)

  • The Irish Angel —- When 15–year old Phoebe Prince moved from the green hills of Ireland, she had always hoped that the American Dream she had always read and heard about would be a land of rock & roll, hamburgers and beautiful boys with white teeth and a smile to die for. When Phoebe came to Massachusetts, she was caught up in an American nightmare. Phoebe was bullied by and group of mean girls who didn’t know her. It wasn’t until one of the mean girls sent her a chilling text message that told her to go hang herself. sadly, Phoebe wanting to escape the American nightmare did just that. No one hasn’t been punished nor anyone has come forward, fearing they will end up just like her. Phoebe left behind a mother, father, and three sisters and a brother. Bullying is on the rise in this country. Bullying isn’t an American nightmare, it is a worldwide nightmare. It is just sad that not enough funding is being offer to end the epidemic. How many more people will die in vain from bullying before we as a group have to act?

We want Videos! We want YouTube!

It’s been two years since I lunched my blog. Although my blog has been in sophomore stage, I’ve had a hunch that you guys want something a little more. It’s not that easy since the recession hit. It cost money to buy a camcorder and equipment to make a blog run a bit smoother. It may take time, but one day coming this blog will come shinning.

We want Videos! We want YouTube!

You will get your wish, soon!

The beginning of the end

This week is the last week of January 2010.

I know that the Valentine items are on the selves and that the world in tying to recover from a recession.

The show Heroes is taking the season off, and Lost is signing off forever.

And I can take a hint that you people haven’t started on your New Year’s resolutions.

As January comes to a close and the month of February begins, it’s not too late to start on your resolutions.

As a person who’s made a 5th list of resolutions, I have to take one step at a time.

Resolutions are not easy to keep up with.

It takes commitment and practice to complete your list of goals.

Don’t jump off the cliff  just yet.

Get back in the ring and finish what you had started.

Don’t make up excuses, just do it.

Make that ’someday’ today!

Hang in there!

About ‘Just the facts’ and a tip line

A new category just popped up this week. Just the facts is a post that are about real facts that are really true. So far I’ve only got one hit on the facts I posted. More facts will be arriving soon.

Tip Line

You can’t always rely on technology, only you with a mind of your own can solve the problems without a machine. —- Author unknown (circa, 1993-1994?)

I saw the television show VR Troopers as a kid. I don’t know who the real author of the quote that Tyler Steel said to his son Ryan. Whoever the author was, the person was ahead of their time in the ’90’s. Maybe we as a human race can use this quote in our everyday lives. A pen/pencil and a sheet of paper sometimes works just best than a computer.

Just the facts!

Here’s a list from the news that will make you—- think. These facts are not intended to offend any minority groups.

  1. More women than men are now the breadwinners in the household. The men are now the ones looking for Miss Right. But there’s a catch: The women that men want to marry are highly educated and have the cash money. Girls and boys, are you reading this post? If you drop out of school now, it is more likely that you will miss out on a lot of opportunities and a chance on a successful future in the world. No matter how hard it is in the world, please stay in school. Don’t believe the bozos that tell you you’ll make it without an education, get that degree and give your future a chance.
  2. A Caucasian woman with an education and a career is more likely that an African American with a successful career and an education to get married. Women who live in poverty are much more likely to become bitter and spiteful to their own race and the race of others. The same is that with men who are living in poverty as well.
  3. Light-skinned African Americans are much more likely to be successful than dark-skinned African-Americans. People with a strong lexicon and knowledge are twice as likely than people with a weak lexicon to turn to drugs or other vices.
  4. People who limit their t.v. time or don’t watch t.v. at all are more likely to be happy, smart and less judgemental than those who watch t.v. for more than one hour. Oh, yeah: T.V. burners are less likely to become obese.
  5. In an unknown poll, the country of Denmark was rated the happiest country to live in. Besides being the happiest people; the Danes are the most consumers of confectionaries than any other country in the world. I think Willy Wonka just booked a flight to Denmark.
